Is Canva Really Any Good? A Three-Year Veteran User Tells the Truth
Have you ever had to create a multilingual poster, searched for templates everywhere, only to find everything in Chinese — with nothing suitable in English or Japanese?
I used to work in marketing at a multinational company, and multilingual design was my biggest headache. After finishing the Chinese version, I had to redo it in English, and then redo it again in Japanese. Three versions would eat up an entire week.

Canva has a feature I really love — after you finish a design, click “Copy” and switch the language version. The template automatically adapts the font and layout for that language. For example, if the Chinese version uses Source Han Sans, switching to English will automatically replace it with a font suitable for English, and the layout adjusts automatically.
It used to take a week to make three language versions. Now I can do it in a day.
Problem 2: Team Collaboration Gets Chaotic
Our design team’s old workflow was: Person A made a draft, sent it to Person B to revise, Person B sent it to Person C for review, Person C sent it back to Person A… files going back and forth, version numbers getting mixed up. The worst time was when Person B spent half a day revising, only to find they were working on an old version.
With Canva, we collaborate directly on the same file. Person A makes the draft, Person B edits online, Person C reviews online — who changed what is displayed in real time. You can add comments like “Should we change this color?” Person A sees the comment and replies “Done.”

Before, when I needed to design something, I had to search image sites for pictures, another site for icons, and yet another for fonts… Just finding素材 took a lot of time.
